This nature house is located in the Drents-Friese Wold nature reserve. From your backyard you have a panoramic view of the farmlands, where you can see everything walking and flying throughout the day. The wooden house stands on a spacious plot of 1400m2 which during your stay is all yours. Settle down on one of the lounge chairs, spot deer, witness the breathtaking sunrise, close your eyes and listen to the concert of birds. Who knows, you might catch a glimpse of the squirrels jumping from tree to tree. Inside, too, enjoy the Japandi interior full of natural materials, soft tones inspired by the moorland landscape, wooden furniture and refined home accessories. Here the interior blends in with nature. This nature house is ideal for families (there is room for 1 crib) and couples, but can also be booked as a workation. Nature house Suikerbossie is quietly located and ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. NOTE: after April '24 there is a bunk bed in 1 bedroom!

The nature house is located in the middle of nature reserve the Drents-Friese Wold. It is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands with 6000 hectares of forest, heathland, shifting sands and stream valley grasslands. This nature reserve belongs to the most beautiful and important nature reserves in Europe and is therefore rightly designated as Natura2000 area. The hamlet of Oude Willem lies between Appelscha in Friesland and Diever in Drenthe, where there is plenty to do, such as walking in the woods, mountain biking, horseback riding and bird watching. But you will also find cozy restaurants and cafes. Brave the barefoot path, take a dip in the Blue Lake, go on an adventure on one of the experience trails, lurk as a birder for all the special species of birds and visit the Shakespeare Theater. During your stay you will go on your own adventure in nature, both during the day and at night, because this part of the Netherlands is also one of the darkest places in the Netherlands.
