No window screens, which are especially necessary in the tiny bathroom. Fantastic kitchen, but no lighting over the dining table. No place to store personal items and clothing. Not a deal-breaker, but something to be prepared for. We booked the cottage many months ago. On the afternoon of our departure (Sunday), we were informed via email (yes, via email) that we might experience some disruption on our last morning due to construction work related to the landlord’s new heat pump. We’d had a nice chat with the landlord the day before (Saturday), during which we weren’t told anything about the upcoming work. We were woken up by drilling noises, and the water was shut off. Not exactly a model of hospitality, in our opinion. If they’d just let us know, we might have gone home a day earlier. We would have expected a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill.

Verdient niet de schoonheidsprijs wat ons betreft. Had even overlegt, dan waren we mogelijk een dag eerder naar huis gegaan. Wel hadden we dan, als service, een stukje restitutie verwacht.
