The back of our 300+ year old wagon barn has been transformed into a wonderful place to stay. This B&B is located entirely on the ground floor. (some thresholds) You enter this space through the "old calf barn". Here you can also store your bicycle under cover. From the bed you have a beautiful view over water and land, that's a nice way to wake up. What a unique place this is! In the spacious hall is access to the bathroom with shower and toilet. Separate coffee and tea room and a dressing room + wardrobe. Living/sleeping area with 2 person box spring bed, TV , a breakfast table and two separate armchairs. This accommodation has a private terrace with views directly over the water and farmlands. Lovely indoor or outdoor breakfast with this view! Free parking. Incl. organic coffee/tea (Nespresso) and vegan shower products. There is an extensive breakfast menu, fresh and local (organic) products are prepared daily with love for you. Breakfast is optional (not included)
Nature and surroundings
Our B&Bs and recreation house are located on the 5500 m2 grounds of a beautiful farm dating from 1720 and almost completely surrounded by water located in the Worldwide unique stroke landscape. In our yard, our dog, chickens and moose walk around freely. The sheep are behind a fence. In the landscape many (water) birds and hares can be spotted. The monumental building is one of the oldest farms on this road. Those who drive up the cast-iron drawbridge imagine themselves back in time. One old farmhouse after another leads you along the rural area which turns into a silence area. The farming landscape in Krimpenerwaard offers tranquility, beautiful nature and many opportunities for walking, boating or cycling. But the possibility of the hustle and bustle and conviviality in the nearby historic town of Gouda (5 km) is also a nice change. Gouda and many other picturesque villages and towns offer plenty of nice hospitality and cosiness.
