Nature house in Zuidwolde

Beautifully cared for, welcoming, cosy home. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen small but has everything you need and the nice living space, fireplace and kitchen table made it a lovely space for 4 adults and 2 dogs. Friendly hosts who kindly delivered towels as these were not included in the linen package. I can imagine that in spring or summer the outdoor area is super. My only criticism would be that the extra costs (linen, towels, wood) seemed expensive for 2 nights.

The living room and kitchen are nice and cozy, but unfortunately the other rooms and areas look like they are past their prime. For example, the rooms smell of damp, the sauna is starting to collapse in several places. There are lots of nice fireplaces, and the sauna is also wood-fired. However, very little wood is included. We had to buy more wood ourselves at the DIY store. For a cabin where the amenities you have already paid for all only work with wood, this was very unsatisfactory. Basically a very nice cabin but due to the points mentioned above we would not choose it again.

Wohnzimmer Küche sind schön gemütlich, die anderen Räume und Bereiche wirken aber leider so als hätten sie ihre besten Zeit hinter sich. Z.B. riechen die Zimmer nach Feuchtigkeit, die Sauna fängt an an mehreren Stellen einzufallen.

Es gibt viel schöne Feuerstellen, auch die Sauna wird mit Holz befeuert. Allerdings ist nur sehr wenig Holz inklusive. Mehr Holz mussten wir uns selber am Baumarkt nachkaufen. Für eine Hütte bei der die Annehmlichkeiten für die man bereits bezahlt hat, alle nur mit Holz funktionieren war das sehr unzufriedenstellend.
Grundsätzlich eine sehr schöne Hütte aber aufgrund der oben genannten Punkte würden wir sie nicht nochmal wählen.

The street behind the garden is already loud. We were there in November, so we heard a lot indoors but still.

Die Straße hinter dem Garten ist schon laut. Wir waren im November da, daher viel drinnen aber dennoch zu hören.

We were with older children, a toddler and a dog and that went fine. In the area you can do some wonderful hiking.

Wij waren met oudere kinderen, een peuter en een hond en dat ging prima. In de omgeving kun je prachtig wandelen.

Fine large house and giant fenced garden. House is tastefully decorated. You look from the sofa into the garden to the autumn trees. In the house is a beautiful stove in which you can also see the flames. You can also make fire outside.

Fijn groot huis en gigantische omheinde tuin. Huis is smaakvol ingericht. Je kijkt vanuit de bank zo de tuin in naar de herfstbomen. In het huis is een mooie kachel waarin je ook de vlammen ziet. Je kunt ook buiten vuur maken.
