Nature house in Avô

Welcome to join us at the quinta, in the motorhome where the adventure for us all began. We ended up in this beautiful area with river beaches, picturesque villages and beautiful starry skies at the foot of the Serra da Estrela and the Serra da Açor and knew immediately that we wanted to stay here. We ourselves live on our quinta, which borders the river Alva, in a small cozy house with our kids ages 5 and 8, also have a converted tiny sheep pen that we rent out as a guest house and have a dog, cats, guinea pigs, chickens and sheep that keep the grass short in the winter. The camper has a comfortable 140x195 bed and a 120x190 bunk bed in the alcove. The alcove is accessible via a ladder and very nice for children.A small kitchenette in the camper and a toilet and shower within walking distance ensure a comfortable stay.In the summer months there is an outdoor kitchen with bbq with large table under a shady kiwi bush that you can use.

Some beaches are more beautiful than others, but Avô, a 10-minute walk away, remains one of our favorites. In addition, you can also descend into our own garden, take a trip with the kayak or have a nice swim in the crystal clear water, where you can often see the fish swimming.There are many marked hiking trails in the area, where you can follow the beautiful old stone walls on foot and stroll along the river. The area is really beautiful and after every turn follows another fantastic view.
