Unwind in our rural vacation home, located on a hill on a quiet country road just outside Slenaken. The house is suitable for 6 persons. There are 3 bedrooms with a double bed and private bathroom (shower, toilet and sink). The cottage is located in the separated rear part of our farmhouse rebuilt with historical materials in 2011 and is equipped with the luxury and comfort of today. The cozy wooden kitchen is well equipped. The French doors in the cozy living room provide access to the spacious south-facing garden with wooden garden furniture and overlooks a lush seasonally changing wildflower garden and the surrounding domestic pasture with fruit trees and grazing sheep and free-range chickens. The sparrows like to find a spot in the hawthorn hedge while twittering. There is a shed for storing bicycles and parking for 3 cars. Feel at home, unwind and enjoy....
Nature and surroundings
Our vacation home is in a unique location just outside Slenaken, in the hamlet of Schilberg in the beautiful Limburg Hill Country. Quiet and rural location on a hill surrounded by meadows, fruit orchards and forests it feels like abroad, a bit like the Dordogne in France, we think. A beautiful path takes you past orchards, meadows and a hollow road to the center of Slenaken. Getting fresh rolls in the morning at the local bakery/supermarket or going out for dinner or a terrace in the evening is easily possible on foot. Various well-known walking and cycling routes run in the immediate vicinity of our house, such as the "Mergellandroute" and the "Krijtlandpad". An excellent starting point for walks, cycling trips and car rides. The Belgian Voer region is just a stone's throw away. Maastricht, but also cities like Aachen, Liege and Tongeren are nearby. Of course there are many other activities possible, information about this is in the house amply present.
