You can relax under the awning and by the beautiful tree next to the terrace, which is teeming with birds to watch. Inside, the living area is comfortable, featuring a corner sofa with a chaise longue. The bedroom features a spacious and comfortable bed with a low entry and plenty of closet space. It stays cool in the summer because it’s on the shady side. The park is car-free and boasts lush vegetation with many different tree species and birds. There are plenty of biking and hiking trails starting from the house and in the immediate vicinity. (Electric) bike rentals are available in Paderborn, a 20-minute drive away. There are also plenty of facilities for golfers. Winterberg and Willingen are a 30- to 45-minute drive away. Some attractions include the beautiful nature park with bison in Hardehausen, the charming university town of Paderborn, the historic Hanseatic towns of Warburg and Brilon, the salt town of Salzkotten, and Dalheim Abbey with its lovely garden and cozy café. Just 3 km away is a beautiful, sustainable natural swimming pool fed by water from the Altenau River and heated by the limestone plateau. The pool ranks second among the best-rated in Germany. Finally, don’t miss the Diemelsee nature and recreation area, the Externsteine—a unique sandstone rock formation—and the romantic, fairytale-like city of Kassel.
