This rustic log-cabin is more than 100 year old and well renovated for your stay in the wilderness. It is just right for real "bush-people" ! You will need a GPS to find it and all things you need in your backpack (incl. a sleeping bag, etc.). The location is about 20 km away from our place and the next parking spot is about 3 km from the cabin. There is no path and depends on the weather conditions, you will need between 1 and 2 hours. Please note; for the use of this cabin you have to be self-reliant and you take your own risk. There is an outhouse beside the cabin and you have to bring the water up from the river. Please note; When the snow melting, the accessibility is restricted (in this case, it may be necessary to re-book to another accommodation).
Nature and surroundings
The cabin is located in the Arjeplogs Municipality, in the area with the lowest population density in whole Sweden. The place is far away from off cities and towns beside a small river and "in the middle of nowhere". There is just nature around and with a fishing license you can catch your own supper. Your stay is in the of the boreal forest and just the animals of the north are your neighbors. If you want to stay away from the daily hustle and bustle you if you wish to be a while outside of the "hamster-wheel" ... that is the right place. You should feel comfortable an like home in the wild. Other people are far away which you should handle easily

The host is extremely friendly, responds within minutes, and was very accommodating and helpful. The cabin is exceptionally well equipped and truly has everything you might need, from kitchen utensils to candles and blankets. The bed is spacious enough for two people to sleep comfortably side by side.
The ceiling is a bit low, so at 1.9 m I couldn’t stand fully upright, but this didn’t bother me during our five-day stay. Even when temperatures dropped below −30°C, sitting at the table near the stove was comfortable, as long as you hang a blanket over the entrance door.Beautiful cabin in the middle of the woods, far away from the road so you’re completely alone. Amazing hiking opportunities with spectacular scenery.
