In the former cheese dairy at Huize Blokland you will find Het Winkeltje: a cozy and attractive cottage in the middle of the West Frisian countryside. Enjoy the view of the fruit orchard and farm life with sheep, chickens, a cuddly cow and friendly cats. Here your children can play to their heart's content and parents can relax. The cottage offers space for up to 4 people. There is a nice double bed on the mezzanine and a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom has a rain shower, and there is underfloor heating throughout the cottage. The garden doors open onto an east-facing terrace, perfect for the morning sun. At 5km from the IJsselmeer for water fun and beautiful walks and 10km from Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik for culture & history, good food & drinks and nice stores. Pets welcome (€10 p.d. per animal).

We have sheep, chickens, a cow and cats who all love to be cuddled and there is plenty to do in the yard (start a fire, have a picnic, help in the vegetable garden, sit or snack, race around with go-karts...)Our yard is located in the West Frisian countryside, 3km from the IJsselmeer and 10km from Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik. You can take lovely walks in the area through wild parks with nature playgrounds and places to let dogs run free. Furthermore, the IJsselmeer is beautiful, weather or no weather, for walking and for cycling. There are several beautiful routes through the typical West Frisian landscapes with lots of space, meadows with cows, sheep and in spring tulips, beautiful old cheese-cover farmhouses. For entertainment you can go to Hoorn and Enkhuizen at 10min distance and Amsterdam, Alkmaar, the coast and the Wadden Islands at approx. 45min.
