Nature house in Hem

On our cozy farm we have built some beautiful apartments in the old cheese dairy. This one is the smallest and is therefore cozy yet very comfortable, ideal for couples or small families. The bedroom is on the mezzanine and the garden doors open to a private fenced terrace facing east (morning sun) and offer a great view. Downstairs there is a solid sofa bed (with slatted base and mattress) for 2 people and a crib can also be added. The kitchen has everything you need for good cooking, including oven and microwave. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and wonderful rain shower. The entire cottage has underfloor heating.

We have horses, sheep, chickens and cats who all love to be cuddled and there is plenty to do in the yard (light a fire, have a picnic, help in the vegetable garden, sit or snack, race around with go-karts...)Our yard is located in the West Frisian countryside, 3km from the IJsselmeer and 10km from Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik. You can take lovely walks in the area through wild parks with nature playgrounds and places to let dogs run free. Furthermore, the IJsselmeer is beautiful, weather or not, for walking and for cycling. There are several beautiful routes through the typical West Frisian landscapes with lots of space, meadows with cows, sheep and in spring tulips, beautiful old cheese-cover farmhouses. For entertainment you can go to Hoorn and Enkhuizen at 10min distance and Amsterdam, Alkmaar, the coast and the Wadden Islands at approx. 45min.
