Spring break or weekend away? Come to Woerdense Verlaat, near Nieuwkoop lakes. Discover the tranquility of the countryside. 200 m from the public road, in the meadow, are these beautiful nature houses. Stroll through the meadow or with your fishing rod on the waterfront. When building these nature houses, we used circular building materials as much as possible. Like the grass insulation and wool from our own sheep for the walls of the cottage. Solar water heaters on the roof provide hot water and floor heating! Floor is made of recycled concrete. Waste water is treated in a helophyte filter. All cabins have private shower and dry compost toilet. Kitchenette with refrigerator and stove available. In front of the haystack hut is a fishing pier and your picnic table, there are children's puzzles, farm games, reading books. By appointment a tour of the farm. Trampoline, sandbox, rowboats and canoes available. Private fire pit for marshmallow roasting.
Nature and surroundings
Within walking distance is Lusthof De Haeck, with beautiful hiking trails and observation tower over the lakes. Also the Westveensepolder route is a must Visit the Westveense Molen. On the way walk and enjoy along the Kromme Mijdrecht, the Pietersenpad and Marskramerpad. These nature houses are located in the meadow (200 m from the public road) on a nature-friendly bank. From your nature house you can enjoy the countryside and the farm where the sheep graze. Experience the many bicycle routes through and along Woerdense Verlaat. Check out Groene Hart Experience and follow the Vlinder Fladder route. Take the rowboat or canoe and see how beautiful the waterfront and nature is. Definitely recommended.
