Nature house in IJhorst

A very nice house in a beautiful location. We arrived (had to look around a bit) and were immediately enveloped by a sense of peace. The garden blends seamlessly into the surrounding nature. There are lovely spots everywhere to sit, lie down (hammocks!), enjoy a good book, or just relax.

A cozy house, tastefully decorated with lovely little details. The weather was so nice that we barely spent any time inside. We’d love to come back in a different season, if only to enjoy the fireplace.

The host was pleasant to deal with and very helpful. Our stay was way too short this time since we had to be in the area, but next time we’ll make it a full vacation.

Heel fijn huis op een prachtige plek. We kwamen aan (moesten even zoeken) en meteen viel de rust over ons heen. De tuin gaat naadloos over in de omliggende natuur. Overal zijn fijne plekken om te zitten, te liggen (hangmatten!), lekker te lezen of gewoon te luieren.

Een knus huis, smaakvol ingericht met mooie kleine details. Het weer was zo goed dat we nauwelijks binnen zijn geweest. We komen graag terug in een ander seizoen, al is het alleen al voor de haard.

Prettig contact met de host, dacht ook mee. We waren er veel te kort deze keer omdat we in de buurt moesten zijn, volgende keer maken we er een vakantie van.

This house is tucked away in a wooded nature park. It has a large wooded garden that stays nice and cool among the trees despite the warm weather. We took a lovely hike into the woods right from the house. There are already many marked trails in the area, but the host had some great tips! The outdoor shower was a godsend when we got back.

Dit huis ligt op een verscholen plek in een bosrijk natuurpark. Grote bostuin, lekker koel tussen de bomen ondanks het warme weer. Vanuit het huis hebben we een mooie wandeltocht gemaakt zo het bos in. In de omgeving zijn al veel routes uitgezet, maar de host had goede tips! De buitendouche was een uitkomst toen we terugkwamen.

I’ve been staying at nature houses for years, but this one is the worst—and definitely not suitable for children. The blinds have those old-fashioned cords with no safety features. No recycling, and for 6 people staying 7 days, we were given only 5 towels. The aluminum baseboards in the kitchen and bathroom are razor-sharp. The locks on the bathroom and other doors are very difficult to latch. No option for recycling. No trash can in the shower. The shower is clogged. The sewer is gurgling. The refrigerator in the kitchen has no light and works poorly. The oven is very dirty. While looking for lost toy pieces, we found a lot of dust under the couch. Light cords are hanging loose. No child safety covers on the electrical outlets. We booked for two children, but there was only one camp bed, and it wasn’t even there upon arrival. For our oldest child, we arranged a bed ourselves with family.

The missing camp bed was delivered immediately, and the extra towels were taken from the designated cabinet during your stay. We naturally take any maintenance concerns seriously and address them immediately.

We remain committed to providing every guest with a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Al jaren natuurhuisje bezocht dit is echter de minste en zeker niet voor kinderen geschikt, luxaflex met de ouderwetse touwtjes zonder beveiliging. Geen afvalscheiding, 6 personen handdoeken en voor 7 dagen krijgen we 5 handdoeken. Aluminiumplintjes in keuken en voor badkamer zijn vlijmscherp. Sloten op badkamer en deuren erg slecht vallen op slot. Geen mogelijkheid tot afvalscheiding. Geen afvalbak in douche. Douche verstopt. Riool borrelt. Koelkast in keuken zonder ligt en werk matig. Oven erg vies. Bij het zoeken naar speelgoed stukjes vinden we erg veel stof onder de bank. Lichtsnoeren hangen los. Geen beveiliging voor stopcontacten. Geboekt met 2 kinderen er was maar 1 campingbedje en ook nog niet aanwezig bij aankomst. Voor de oudste hebben we zelf een bed geregeld bij familie.

Hartelijk dank voor uw feedback. Het spijt ons dat uw verblijf niet aan uw verwachtingen heeft voldaan; deze ervaring is helaas niet representatief voor de kwaliteit en service die onze gasten al jarenlang waarderen.

Het ontbrekende campingbedje is direct nagebracht en de extra handdoeken zijn tijdens uw verblijf uit de daarvoor bestemde kast genomen. Eventuele aandachtspunten op het gebied van onderhoud nemen wij vanzelfsprekend serieus en worden direct opgepakt.

Wij blijven ons met veel zorg inzetten om iedere gast een comfortabel en ontspannen verblijf te bieden.

The garden is located next to the campground, and the forest is much harder to reach than described; the natural surroundings were beautiful.

Tuin ligt aan camping terrein en bos is veel moeilijker bereikbaar dan omschreven de natuur was mooi
