New, attractive and luxurious nature house for peace seekers, hikers, mountain bikers, home workers and bon vivants. With around the corner the entrance to the beautiful forest. The bright, comfortable house has an open kitchen, sitting area with wood stove, bathroom with bathtub and walk-in shower, separate toilet, two bedrooms and a cozy bed box. In the woodland garden you can relax in hammocks, read on the lounge area under the parasol, eat on the terrace or enjoy the outdoor shower. Every season has its charm: inside it is always cozy and cool in summer. The kitchen is fully equipped and you can eat and work at the large table. There is good wifi, a smart TV and a sound bar. If you choose bed linen, the beds are made upon arrival. A dog is welcome: with a dog play forest nearby. Come and enjoy!
Nature and surroundings
Almost the most beautiful and quiet place in the nature park: our house with large, sloping woodland garden, located on the edge of the Carsten forest. IJhorst lies on the border of Drenthe and Overijssel, in the middle of the ancient stream valley of the Reest. This lowland stream still meanders through the landscape as of old, past hay meadows, fields, heathland, forests, estates and monumental farms. The area is home to special plants and animals such as holwort, badgers, deer and storks. Besides the rich nature there is also a lot of culture: stately manor houses, well-maintained mills and charming small farmhouses. Artists find plenty of inspiration here. There is a surprisingly wide range of culinary and cultural opportunities in the region, from fine restaurants and cozy eateries to galleries and music festivals. Nearby are picturesque towns, but we like to stay just as close to home: cooking together, walking the dog, mountain biking, or early running on the moors.
