From this charming cottage and garden have a wide, unobstructed view over the nature reserve where deer regularly walk. The nature cottage is en bungalow and is located very quiet and sheltered in a large fenced garden. It is an ideal location for relaxing, hiking and beautiful bike rides. The ground floor cottage is suitable for 1-4 persons. Inside you will find a cozy living room, comfortable beds (box spring of the brand Swiss Sense and sturdy bunk bed also very suitable for adults), a fully equipped kitchen and neat bathroom with shower cabin. The conservatory is the place to sit in the middle of nature, even when it rains. The cottage has many games and books, a record player with LPs, washer and dryer. In the garden several seating areas, honor table and an outdoor wood stove. There is also a feeding stand where you can hang food and admire the birds
Nature and surroundings
You stay in the middle of the National Park Drents-Friese Wold, one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands. In the house and garden you can follow the birds and if you're lucky a squirrel will jump by or deer walk in the field behind the house. From the cottage you walk or cycle straight into the forest, with direct access to numerous routes. Popular walks are The Doldersummerveld, the foresters path at Appelscha, the Aekingerzand and the route along the Vledder Aa. Cyclists can choose from numerous routes also using the junction network. Rental bikes are brought to and picked up again at home upon request, and the UNESCO Colonies of Weldadigheid in Frederiksoord are easily accessible. There is also plenty to do with children. In the cottage are brochures and in the guestbook tips to do of our guests. We have many guests who come every year, so much to see and do. For dogs a splash pond and several loose areas.
