You’ll find peace and quiet in this cottage, located 400 meters from the Staphorst Forest. Here you can relax to your heart’s content; your dog is also welcome and can run freely and safely in the fully fenced-in yard. From the kitchen counter, you can see the forest near IJhorst. From your bed, you can look out through the skylights at the greenery. On clear nights, you can see the stars—it gets truly dark here. The luxurious bathroom features a two-person bathtub and a walk-in shower with a rain showerhead. Upstairs is a bedroom with box-spring beds. Our vacation home is over 75 m² and is located in the rear wing of our farmhouse, built in 1869. There’s Wi-Fi, no TV, but plenty of space to truly unwind. One more thing: because it’s so quiet here, you might occasionally hear bits of noise from a few kilometers away. There’s nothing we can do about that. We do ask that you keep your own music or other audio at a low volume. We love peace and quiet, too.

We were warmly welcomed by Ernst, Monica, and their dog James.
The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing week surrounded by beautiful nature!
There were plenty of opportunities to sit outside and enjoy the birds, dragonflies, butterflies, and bees.
