Nature house in Lattrop-Breklenkamp

This original nature house combines the ultimate freedom feeling of sleeping outdoors with an interior that evokes "cocooning. The cube shape that represents stability has a transparent dome on the roof, giving you a direct view of the infinite starry sky from bed. In just 16 square meters, a regular hotel room has been realized. The space is minimalist but very thoughtfully designed: nothing more than necessary, but wonderfully comfortable. This "tiny house" is fully recyclable and mobile and therefore fits within ecotourism. The nature house is equipped with a telescope, which with some practice allows you to discover many beautiful things, and accompanying information materials, such as a planisphere and a yearbook of astronomy. Each nature house is named after a star that can be seen from the Netherlands.

The nature houses are in northeast Twente, one of the few places in the Netherlands where it still gets really dark. The accommodations are scattered in the star garden on an ancient farmyard in Lattrop-Breklenkamp (about 6 km from Ootmarsum). On this organic farm you can eat and sleep pure and of course meet the pride of the owners Dennis and Annette: a herd of old Dutch Brandred Cattle. About 200 meters from the heritage is Cosmos Observatory, a beautiful educational center with large telescope and atmospheric planetarium, where an enthusiastic team of volunteers provides particularly interesting guided tours.
