This nature house is located in a former cowshed on the ground floor. Relax in your own hot tub, infrared sauna or under the rain shower. Bed linen and towels are provided. With a nice cup of coffee or good tea (provided), you start the next day well. There is a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave oven and beautiful crockery, cutlery from Iittala. The lodge consists of one room and has no lockable rooms. Upon arrival there is a delicious bottle of wine waiting for you. Would you like to start the day with a nice breakfast, you can! We offer a Heerman breakfast box (vegetarian option), sufficient for 2 mornings /2 adults with tasty products from the region. Fresh bread we hang every morning in a bread bag at the door. On the Sunday nice later check out (18.00), then use a Lazy Sunday, you book this on the spot. Due to allergies, no pets are allowed. There are 3 lodges in the farmhouse.

The lodge is located between meadows and forests in the Twente countryside. Here you will experience the quiet and farm life of all days and for a few days you will be part of the hamlet "de Mekkelhorst". The whole area is part of "National Landscape North-East Twente". Adjacent to neighboring Germany, you can easily reach the spa town of Bad Bentheim, Nordhorn or Gildehaus. Within walking distance is the nature reserve 't Lutterzand with sand drifts, heath and pine forests. Very nicely laid out space that makes you feel like you have multiple rooms. Cozy box bed for the kids and a wonderful bed. The tub with the jet stream was also a treat. The cottage was nice and warm without being stuffy. There is a blind, so we were able to sleep well. The sauna is small but works well and also the shower is wonderful. You can sit and enjoy both inside and outside. Parking is among the trees. We highly recommend it!

Het huisje was lekker warm zonder dat het benauwd is. Er is een rolgordijn, dus we konden heerlijk slapen. De sauna is klein, maar werkt goed en ook is de douche heerlijk. Je kunt zowel binnen als buiten zitten en genieten. Parkeren doe je tussen de bomen. Wij vinden het een echte aanrader!
