Nature house in Hammarstrand

We rent out our small vacation cottage in Jämtland in central Sweden approx. 250 m from our main house. The cottage is located in the beautiful Ragunda valley in the middle between Sundsvall and Östersund, approx. 800 m from Indalsälven on the edge of a small village and is suitable for max. 3+1 persons. Our Stuga has electricity, W-Lan, 2 cooking facilities, heating and a separate toilet. Pets are allowed. The house only has summer water. From the beginning of November to the end of April there is no running water!!! Water canisters are provided! Electricity is charged extra on site according to consumption! Wood for the kitchen stove can be purchased from us if required.

The Ragunda Valley boasts plenty of natural forest, the Indalsälven lake, a low population density and little traffic. Lagom is a way of life here. The right of public access allows almost unrestricted access to nature. Hiking without meeting a soul is no problem here. You can enjoy the snow in peace and quiet, go fishing in summer, canoeing, hiking and just relax. Sights such as Döda fallet or the Thai pavilion can be reached quickly by car, and there are cross-country and downhill ski trails in Hammarstrand and the surrounding area, where you can observe deer, moose and many other wild animals in the forest. From the beginning of December to the end of March there are reindeer here and with a bit of luck you can admire the northern lights in good weather.
