Situated on the edge of Natura 2000 park, this country cottage was once the blacksmith's home. It sits high above a pond that is host to kingfishers, frogs and beavers. In the vicinity are the ruins of the stables and manor house as well as a public park with ancient monument to St Anthony. There is fishing available on our ponds in the Spring and summer with Ice skating on them in the Winter. The area is rich in bird and insect life. This is a wild secluded oasis for those tired of the city noise.
Nature and surroundings
There is a campfire place for bonfires, and walkway onto the pond. A long alley of lime trees brings you into the park behind the house. With the bicycle you can cycle to see the wooden church in Jeruzal. There is an organic farm nearby in Lipiny selling delicious rocket salad and carrots etc. We produce honey from our own hives, and jam from the Mirabelki trees. There is horse riding about 20mins drive away at Stania Kasztan. Apart from horses, they have pigs,goats, cats, dogs, ducks. The Red House is only 1 hour drive West by motorway into Warsaw. From here you can stop on your way East to Bialowieza forest or North to Mazurian lakes. Take your pick, quiet country side or the buzz of Warsaw city lights!

Patrick and the Red House will forever remain in our memories thanks in part to a poplar tree that, in our absence, was hit by an immense bolt of lightning. The havoc on the tree was great. We had never seen this before. This stay is highly recommended for vacation plans in the beautiful, fine, hospitable and ooooo so quiet and beautiful Poland (near Lublin and Warsaw)! Do! Patrick en het Rode Huis zullen voor altijd in onze herinnering blijven mede dankzij een populier die, tijdens onze afwezigheid, geraakt werd door een immense bliksemschicht. De ravage aan de boom was groot. Nog nooit hadden we dit eerder gezien.

The garden is large, beautiful and quiet. You can fully relax here! As a family we made numerous trips to Lublin, Warsaw, Bialowieza (and its Tsar Road) among others. From Mrozy it was very easy to take the train (with an Intercity - online booking via PKP - PolishTrains and duration 50 min) daily to Warsaw. Impressive city! Wow! Great! Awesome! Enjoy!
Wauw! Uitstekend verblijf bij een fantastische gastheer! De stilte komt je tegemoet. Het Rode Huis was een verademing. De ontvangst door Patrick en zijn gastvrijheid waren meer dan fantastisch. Echt waar! De charme van het huis is niet te beschrijven. Als gezin met 2 kinderen was er zeker voldoende ruimte en plaats: 2 toiletten en alsook 2 badkamers. We sliepen hier voortreffelijk en zéér zalig. De keuken is zeer praktisch ingericht en beschikt over een kleine, maar uiterst handige vaatwasmachine. Bovendien is er een wasmachine beschikbaar. Onze wagen kon mooi geparkeerd worden voor het huis. De tuin is groot, mooi en de stilte overheerst. Onthaasten doe je hier ten volle! Als gezin maakten we tal van uitstappen naar o.a. Lublin, Warschau, Bialowieza (en zijn Tsarenroute).
Vanuit Mrozy was het zeer makkelijk om met de trein (met een Intercity - online booking via PKP - PolishTrains en duurtijd 50 min) dagelijks naar Warschau te sporen. Indrukwekkende stad! Wauw! Great! Awesome! Enjoy!This text is automatically translated. -
