Nature house in Schoorl

It could not have been better! I would love to come back soon though!

Het had niet beter kunnen zijn! Ik kom graag snel wel terug!

I was looking for a place for a quiet time-out on my own and it was perfect! The cottage is super cozy, very tastefully and modernly decorated and immediately made me feel at home. There was nothing missing, from a comfortable sleeping nook overlooking the stars, a stove with everything to easily start a fire every night after an extended nature trip, a nice welcome gift, sheepskins so you could sit on the porch even in winter to the nespresso capsules for a nice cup in the morning. Communication was smooth, quick, clear and very friendly. A high wooden fence in the small garden meant you were nicely secluded and the area was very quiet. I was mainly cycling and walking. By bike you are in the village center within minutes, from there there are picturesque bike routes through the dunes to several beaches, which are very quiet in winter, though with many dogs and riders :)

Ik was op zoek naar een plekje voor een rustige time-out in mijn eentje en het was perfect! Het huisje is superknus, heel sfeervol en modern ingericht en gaf meteen een thuis-gevoel. Het ontbrak aan niks, van een comfortabel slaaphoekje met uitzicht op de sterrenhemel, een kacheltje met alles om makkelijk elke avond na een uitbegreide natuurtocht een vuurtje te stoken, een lekker welkomst cadeautje, schapenvelletjes zodat je zelfs in winter even op de veranda kon zitten tot aan de nespresso capsules voor een lekker kopje in de ochtend. De communicatie verliep voorspoedig, snel, duidelijk en heel vriendelijk. Door een hoge houten omheining van de kleine tuin zat je lekker afgescheiden en de omgeving was erg rustig. Ik was voornamelijk met de fiets en wandelend onderweg. Met de fiets zit je binnen enkele minuten in het dorpscentrum, vanaf daar zijn er pittoreske fietsroutes door de duinen naar verschillende stranden, die in de winter heel rustig zijn, wel met veel hondjes en ruiters :)

It was the first time for us to stay in a nature house / tiny house, we did not really have (high) expectations in terms of comfort, but the Hunter's Cabin was really fully equipped and very nice / smartly decorated. Even a cozy Christmas tree (and a dyson vacuum cleaner)! The kitchen has the necessary appliances and utensils; we were able to prepare a Christmas dinner in it. Schoorl village is a 20 min walk away, and in terms of woods& dunes, it's pretty much an extension of the backyard. The garden is fully fenced, ideal for the dog. It was now winter, good reason to come back in the summer, to also sit on the porch to sit :-) The sleeping loft was a challenge if you need to get out, but after 2 nights you become more comfortable with that too. So it was a super nice stay. Until next time Marieke and Timo!

Het was voor ons de eerste keer dat we in een natuurhuisje / tinyhouse verbleven, we hadden niet echt (hoge) verwachtingen qua comfort, maar de Jagershut was werkelijk van alle gemakken voorzien en heel mooi/slim ingericht. Zelfs een gezellige kerstboom (en een dyson stofzuiger)! De keuken beschikt over de benodigde apparatuur en keukengerei; wij hebben er een kerstdiner in kunnen bereiden. Schoorl dorp is op 20 min loopafstand, en qua bos&duin is het zo’n beetje verlengde van de achtertuin. De tuin is volledig omheind, ideaal voor de hond. Het was nu winter, goede reden om in de zomer eens terug te komen, om ook lekker op de veranda te zitten :-)
De slaapvliering was wel een uitdaging als je er uit moet, maar na 2 nachten wordt je daar ook handiger in.
Het was dus een superfijn verblijf. Tot een volgende keer Marieke en Timo!
