Nature house in Doldersum

A cozy little cottage—a bit old, but neat on the inside, with everything you need. We had some bad luck with the weather; it does get a bit damp inside, but that’s to be expected in a wooded area.
There’s a covered porch at the back of the garden—it was nice to sit there.
Part of the garden is fenced in, and there’s a separate gate you can put up. But you do have to carry your dog over the fence, which is why our little dog escaped once and almost ran out onto the main road—I think there’s room for improvement there.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, and combination microwave. The bathroom is a bit small but perfectly adequate, and the toilet is separate.
We had a wonderful time.
Overall, it’s just a lovely little cottage that can truly be called a nature house.
Vledder is a great place to do your grocery shopping, and there’s plenty to do. We rented scooters in Oud Willem—highly recommended.
We also visited the Wadden Sea. Good communication and a convenient contactless key pickup.
There was a nice bottle of white wine waiting for us—very thoughtful.

Gerieflijk huisje wel wat oud, maar netjes van binnen, alles wat je nodig hebt. Wij hadden pech met wat slecht weer, word het wel wat vochtig binnen, maar dat heb je in bosomgeving.
Achter in tuin een overdekte veranda, was fijn om daar te zetten.
Tuin is stuk omheind, en er staat een los hek dat je neer kunt zetten. Maar je moet je hond wel naar Achter tillen, waardoor 1x ons hondje ontsnapt is en bijna de grote weg opliep, denk dat daar nog wat te halen valt om dat te verbeteren.
Keuken goed uitgerust met vaatwasser, wasmachine en combimagnetron. Badkamer is wat klein, maar goed te doen, en toilet is los.
We hebben het heel fijn gehad.
Algemeen gewoon fijn huisje wat oprecht, natuurhuisje mag genoemd worden.
In Vledder kun je fijn boodschappen doen, en er is genoeg te doen. We hadden in oud Willem scooters gehuurd, aanrader.
Ook zijn we naar de Waddenzee geweest. Goede communicatie en fijn contactloos sleutel kunnen ophalen.
Stond een lekkere witte wijn klaar, erg attent.

The cottage is located in a bungalow park with spacious lots; we enjoyed 9 days of peace and quiet, with little traffic and few people.
Occasionally there was some sawing going on in the gardens, but that’s part of maintenance—no problem. It’s a great place to take the dog for a walk. And of course, the Frisian Drenthe Forest is right next door, which is absolutely beautiful.
It’s a large park, but quiet.

Huisje ligt op een bungelowpark met ruime kavels, wij hadden 9 dagen rust, weinig verkeer en mensen.
Af en toe wat zaagwerk in de tuinen, maar dat hoort bij onderhoud, geen probleem. Met de hond kun je fijn wandelen. En natuurlijk Friese Drenthe woud zit je bijna tegenaan, wat prachtig is.
Is een groot park, maar rustig.

The cottage is located, along with other cottages, in a small wood, near the Doldersummerveld and close to the sheepfold. It’s very peaceful and beautiful.

Het huisje ligt, samen met andere huisjes, in een bosje, vlakbij het Doldersummerveld en vlakbij de schaapskooi. Erg rustig en mooi.

The house is equipped for all eventualities and everything is explained very well. We were two people and a small dog, so the size is perfectly adequate. And there were even two more single beds! From the house you can reach many small and large routes for walks by car. We were there in winter, you always have to check beforehand where the best places to go are because of the dog. The villages in the area not only have all the necessary stores for daily needs, but also good restaurants and cafés. Communication with the owners was very friendly and quick. We will certainly be back.

Das Haus ist für alle Eventualitäten eingerichtet und es wird alles super erklärt. Wir waren zwei Menschen und ein kleiner Hund, die Größe ist daher völlig ausreichend. Und es gäbe sogar noch zwei weitere einzelne Betten! Vom Haus aus kann man mit dem Auto viele kleine und große Strecken zum Spazieren erreichen. Wir waren im Winter dort, man muss wegen des Hundes immer vorher schauen, wo man am besten hingehen kann. In den Dörfern in der Umgebung finden sich nicht nur alle nötigen Läden des täglichen Bedarfs, sondern auch gute Restaurants und Cafés. Die Kommunikation mit den Betreibern war sehr freundlich und schnell. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder.

It really is a quiet place! It was just right for us to get away from it all for a few days. You bring enough food with you and let the day pass and go for a walk.

Es ist wirklich ein ruhiger Ort!
Für uns war es genau richtig, um ein paar Tage Abstand vom Alltag zu bekommen. Man bringt sich ausreichend Verpflegung mit und lässt den Tag verstreichen und geht spazieren.
