There are 4 ponds at the park. A large pond with sunbathing area and beach. Adjacent to the park is a smaller shallow pond with sand all around. The other two ponds are tucked away and can be used for fishing (roach, carp and whitefish). There is also a playground, soccer field and a restaurant. The area around Oud-Rekem (municipality of Lanaken) was proclaimed "Most beautiful village of Flanders" in 2008. Oud-Rekem can justifiably be called one of the most authentic towns on the Meuse.
