NO loud music, groups of young people, alcohol consumption, or parties. Located on a private island, accessible via a small bridge. Wonderfully peaceful, pitch-black at night, and a charming, self-built Kooiker cottage. There’s a double bed on the loft and two double sofa beds in the living room. No Wi-Fi and no TV. There’s a (basic!) outdoor shower with hot water for a limited number of showers per day. Basic kitchen with all kinds of kitchenware, a refrigerator, coffee maker, electric kettle, two-burner gas stove, dishwasher, etc. A standard toilet, but you’ll need to step outside to use it. Private fishing spot and fire pit. An initial supply of firewood for indoor and/or outdoor use is provided free of charge.
Nature and surroundings
Part of a small estate with its own lunchroom (breakfast is also available!). Adjacent to the Eerdse Bossen and the Vlagheideberg, offering views stretching for dozens of kilometers. Great for hiking, mountain biking, and cycling. When open, the Het Goeie Leven bistro is within walking distance for a bite to eat in the evening. The village of Eerde, with a basic grocery store, bakery, and pub, is a 15-minute walk away. The larger towns of Veghel, Schijndel, and Sint-Oedenrode are a 10-minute drive away.
