A lovely little cottage with all the amenities. Squirrels scamper through the garden.

Een heerlijk huisje met alles erop en eraan. De eekhoorntjes huppelen door de tuin.

We enjoyed the natural surroundings and the peace and quiet. The cottage was fantastic. We received a warm welcome with soft music playing in the background.
We had everything we needed.

We hebben genoten van de natuur en dus ook de rust. Het huisje was fantastisch. Gezellige ontvangst met een muziekje op de achtergrond.
Het ontbrak ons nergens aan.

We thought it was okay, but pretty lacking in atmosphere. No character, run-of-the-mill, though it did have some “perks”: the outdoor hot tub, the sauna (wood-fired, outdoors—we didn’t try it at 35 degrees!), and the indoor infrared sauna (we did try that one—it worked well).
Unfortunately, the beds were a letdown. They were a maximum of 1.60 wide, with a fairly soft base mattress and an equally soft topper. The topper also didn’t stay in place and slowly slid off. We ended up taking the bedding off ourselves and rearranging everything.

We vonden het ok, maar redelijk sfeerloos. Geen eigenheid, doorsnee, wel met 'perks' de jacuzzi buiten, sauna (gestookt, buiten, niet geprobeerd met de 35 graden!) en de infrarood sauna binnen (wel geprobeerd, die werkte goed).
De bedden vielen helaas tegen. Max 1.60 breed, met tamelijk zachte basismatras én idem topper. De laatste bleef ook niet goed liggen en schoof er langzaam van af. Hebben we zelf het bed afgehaald en alles weer recht gelegd.

Unfortunately, you could hear the highway in the background—like a constant hum—which was a bit of a letdown.
Otherwise, it was nice and green, though there wasn’t complete privacy—we could see hikers walking past through the bushes (which is annoying when you’ve just stepped out of the hot tub; a denser fence would be nice, especially with a cottage like this that has outdoor wellness facilities).

We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay! We do everything we can to make everyone feel at home here. Between the walking path and our large property is a hedge about 6 meters wide, which is normally completely closed off. Due to the extreme drought, the front row of evergreen plants has unfortunately lost a lot of its foliage. Some background noise is audible almost everywhere in the Netherlands and also depends on the wind direction; of course, complete silence would be ideal. Bed comfort is very personal, but we try to select beds that are comfortable for most guests. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We hope to warmly welcome you again in the future!

De snelweg was helaas hoorbaar op de achtergrond, als een constant gezoem, dat viel wat tegen.
Verder goed in het groen, niet volledige privacy met wandelaars die wij door de struiken langs zagen lopen (wat vervelend als je net de jacuzzi uitstapt, een dicht(er) hekwerk zou mooi zijn, vooral met zo'n huisje met buiten wellness voorzieningen).

Wat fijn om te horen dat u genoten heeft van uw verblijf! We doen er alles aan om iedereen zich bij ons thuis te laten voelen. Tussen het looppad en ons grote perceel ligt een circa 6 meter brede haag, die normaal volledig dicht is. Door de extreme droogte heeft de voorste rij groenblijvende planten helaas veel blad verloren. Enige achtergrondruis is bijna overal in Nederland hoorbaar en hangt ook af van de windrichting; doodse stilte zou natuurlijk het allermooist zijn. Bedcomfort is erg persoonlijk, maar wij proberen bedden te selecteren die voor de meeste gasten comfortabel zijn. Nogmaals dank voor uw waardevolle feedback.
