Our mobile home is located in the outskirts of Boxtel and has a private garden of about 100m2 under the apple trees. It is a cozy Bed and Breakfast with all facilities on 12m2: toilet, shower, kitchen, smart TV, wifi, oven, 2-burner stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, bedding, towels, tea towels, dishes. In short, fully equipped to enjoy a few days away. Ellis and Dorien are your hostesses and in consultation they fill the refrigerator. Of course you are free to bring your own breakfast. You have access to a barbecue and in bad weather you can have drinks, barbecue, smoke indoors at our nature house. Opposite our nature house is an active dairy farm. Generally it is a very quiet place but the farmer sometimes starts early and sometimes goes on until late (e.g. when silage is needed). That's farming life and maybe nice to experience it once ;-)
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located between the farmlands in a traditionally farming environment. Nature reserve the Kampina and the Oisterwijk woods and fens are within walking and biking distance and in this area there are beautiful cycling and hiking routes. The Kampina is a rugged nature reserve with vast heathlands, forests and shifting sands. The Essche stream flows nearby and there is the possibility to sail across it in a canoe. Bicycles can be rented for €10.00 per person per day. A stone's throw away you will find castle Nemelaer and a little further you come to Oisterwijk where you can have a delicious meal or drink on the terrace. Also Boxtel has several restaurants and cafes where you can have a nice stay. 12 Kilometers away you have the Loonse and Drunense Dunes. It is over 3500 hectares and has been a national park since 2002. The park is largely an alternation of dry sand drifts and coniferous forest. Wonderful to go hiking once.

It’s wonderful to be able to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and at Dorien’s B&B, it really feels like coming home to a little paradise where every little detail has been taken care of (from window screens, a fan, a cheese slicer), but also features a small oven, a spacious bathroom, a wide, comfortable bed, and plenty of cozy spots to sit in the spacious private garden. And on top of that, a beautiful nature reserve like the Kampina is within walking distance. Actually, we didn’t want to leave, but even just one weekend worked wonders. You can rent canoes, but the loop around Boxtel organized by the local canoe club is also highly recommended.
Heerlijk om te kunnen ontsnappen uit de drukte van alledag en bij de B&B van Dorien is het echt thuiskomen in een paradijsje waar ook aan alle kleine details zijn gedacht (van horren voor de ramen, ventilator, deet, kaasschaaf), maar ook beschikt over een klein oventje, ruime badkamer, breed goedliggend bed, en heerlijk veel verschillende zitjes in de ruime privétuin. En dan ook nog zo'n mooi natuurgebied als de Kampina op loopafstand. Eigenlijk wilden we niet meer weg, maar een weekend deed al wonderen. Je kan kano's huren, maar het rondje Boxtel bij de plaatselijke kanovereniging is ook zeer aan te raden.
