Nature house in Nutter

This was our third time here, and that might say it all. The cottage is simple, but it has everything you need. A well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed.
The porch is a great spot to relax, sheltered from the sun.
The view is fantastic. From the cottage, you look out onto a field where deer roam in the evening. We saw lots of birds and squirrels near the cottage.
At the MUShuis, it’s really all about the location. You’ll find so much peace and quiet here, and the nights are truly dark.
We’ll definitely be back to enjoy it all again!

Wij waren hier voor de derde keer en dat zegt misschien al genoeg. Het huisje is eenvoudig maar alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Goed uitgeruste keuken en comfortabel bed.
De veranda is super fijn om beschut van de zon te genieten.
Het uitzicht is fantastisch. Vanuit het huisje kijk je op een veld waar in de avond de reeën lopen. Vlakbij het huisje zagen we veel vogels en eekhoorns.
Bij het MUShuis kies je echt voor de plek. Je vind hier zoveel rust en stilte en de nachten zijn hier echt donker.
Wij komen absoluut nog een keer terug om te genieten van alles!

The MUShuis is located in a beautiful setting where you can enjoy endless walks and bike rides. You can walk right into the Springendal from the cottage.

Het MUShuis ligt in een prachtige omgeving waar je eindeloos kan wandelen en fietsen. Je loopt vanuit het huisje zo het Springendal in.

The location is beautiful. It’s wonderful to enjoy the view from under the awning.
It’s a shame that no action was taken regarding the previous tenants’ comment about the second bedroom, whose door squeaked and creaked terribly and wouldn’t close.
This was very disruptive for my sister and brother-in-law when I had to get up at night, and for me when they got up at night or went to bed later, because the room where I slept—whose door wouldn’t close—was right across from the bathroom/toilet.
Also, of the French doors next to the canopy, the right-hand door could only be closed using the top latch.
This is a shame because of the cold and drafts, and it’s also unsafe when you’re alone in the cottage.
It says the cottage is suitable for 4 people, but that seems very cramped to me, especially regarding the second bedroom.
The cottage wasn’t clean either.

We’ve since had a good conversation, and I was able to explain the measures I’ve taken in response to their message.
Fortunately, the guest also confirmed that they otherwise had a pleasant stay.

Ligging prachtig. Heerlijk genieten onder overkapping van uitzicht.
Jammer dat er geen actie is ondernomen op opmerking vorige huurders mbt 2de slaapkamer waarvan de deur ontzettend piepte, kraakte en niet te sluiten was.
Dit was heel storend voor mijn zus en zwager als ik er snachts uitmoest en voor mij als zij er snachts uitgingen of later naar bed omdat de kamer waar ik sliep en waarvan de deur niet dichtkon tegenover badkamer/toilet was.
Ook de openslaande deuren nasr overkapping kon de rechtse deur alleen met de bovenste schuif dicht.
Jammer ivm kou/tocht en ook onveilig als je alleen in huisje zit.
Er staat dat huisje geschikt is voor 4 personen maar dat lijkt me wat betreft de 2de slaapkamer erg krap.
Het huisje was ook niet schoon.


Reactie van verhuurder:
Inmiddels hebben wij goed contact gehad en heb ik kunnen toelichten welke maatregelen ik genomen heb n.a.v. hun bericht.
Gelukkig bevestigde de huurder ook dat zij verder een fijn verblijf hebben gehad.

Let's start by doing some maintenance.

Eerst maar eens onderhoud plegen.

The location was fantastic, but the cottage was downright terrible. The bedroom was damp, which is bad for your health. The walls and ceiling were covered with dead mosquitoes. The doors were stuck due to the moisture and wouldn’t close properly. Parts of the floor in the living room and bedroom were rotten, so you’d sink through them.
We had beautiful weather, but if we’d had bad weather, I don’t know if I would have stayed.
I hope to hear back about this. Someone really should conduct an inspection so you can assess the situation for yourselves.

Landlord’s response:
The cottage is a bit older. We are indeed looking into what (major) maintenance it needs. In the meantime, we ourselves enjoy staying at this lovely place, and we don’t charge top dollar. Judging by their reviews, most tenants are satisfied.

De plek was fantastisch maar het huisje ronduit slecht. In de slaapkamer was het vochtig, slecht voor de gezondheid. De wanden en het plafond zaten vol met dood geslagen muggen. Deuren die klemmen door het vocht en niet meer dicht kunnen. Delen van de vloer in de kamer en slaapkamer zijn verrot en daar zak je dus naar beneden.
We hadden prachtig weer, maar als we slecht weer hadden gehad dan weet ik niet of ik was gebleven.
Ik hoop dat ik hierover nog een reactie krijg. Er zou echt iemand een inspectie moeten uitvoeren zodat jullie het zelf kunnen beoordelen.

Reactie verhuurder:
Het huisje is al wat ouder. Wij zijn inderdaad aan het bekijken wat het aan (groot) onderhoud nodig heeft. In de tussentijd verblijven wij zelf met veel plezier op deze fijne plek, en en vragen wij niet de hoofdprijs. Getuige hun reacties zijn de meeste huurders tevreden.
