Nature house in Herpt

If you are not demanding but just want to enjoy a weekend in a fine environment then this is the place to be!

Als je niet veeleisend bent maar gewoon een weekendje wilt genieten in een fijne omgeving dan moet je hier zijn!

We had a wonderful weekend in the bakery cottage. Small cottage but everything is there. Nice that we could use a bicycle to explore the area this way.

We hebben een heerlijk weekend gehad in het bakhuisje. Klein huisje maar alles is er. Fijn dat we een fiets konden gebruiken om op deze manier de omgeving te verkennen.

The cottage itself is beautiful Practical and furnished with love. The heating was on by the time we arrived. Someone came to ask if we needed anything else, and indeed brought the requested wine glasses. There was a fenced garden for the dog to walk in, when holes finally appeared in the afternoon of January 1. At any other time of the year, it might have been a super experience across the board, and I might have given a 10. For the cleanliness, the thoughtfulness, the friendliness, the beautiful surroundings. In which we could hardly walk now because the dog panicked, and frankly, it was also difficult for people to handle. It really gave a war feeling. Popping, barrage, who thinks up to call that celebration.

Het huisje zelf is prachtig Praktisch en met liefde ingericht. Klein maar gerieflijk.
De verwarming stond aan tegen dat we kwamen. Iemand kwam vragen of we nog iets nodig hadden, en bracht inderdaad de gevraagde wijnglazen.
Er was een omheinde tuin waar de hond in kon lopen, toen er in de namiddag van 1 januari eindelijk gaten in de bombardementen kwamen.
Op elk ander moment in het jaar was het wellicht over de ganse lijn een super ervaring geweest, en had ik wellicht een 10 gegeven.
Voor de netheid, de attenties, de vriendelijkheid, de mooie omgeving. Waarin we nu dus amper konden wandelen omdat de hond panikeerde, en eerlijk gezegd, het was voor mensen ook moeilijk te behappen. Het gaf echt een oorlogsgevoel. Knallen, spervuur, wie verzint het om dat feest te noemen.

Het opzet was mijn hond een rustige overgang van oud naar nieuw geven. Het kon niet fouter gaan. We leken aan het front van WOIII te zitten.
Het bonkte, knetterde, geweervuur en bommen. Onafgebroken tot 4u 's morgens. En op 1 januari bleek het geschut nog niet op. De lucht stonk, mijn oor piepte, mijn hond lag plat onder het bed.
Op dat vlak rampzalig.

I would create a little more privacy through fences or hedges or something. You look right out of the main house into the bakehouse so we didn't always have all the curtains open. Ik zou iets meer privacy crëeren door schuttingen of heggen oid. Je kijkt zo uit het woonhuis in het bakhuisje waardoor we niet altijd alle gordijnen open hadden. En ik kan me voorstellen dat je in de zomer in elkaars weg zit als beide huisjes verhuurd zijn en iedereen buiten wil zijn.

Newly renovated old cottage, spacious enough for two, also warm in winter with heat pump and wood stove. Is somewhat close to other cottage and house. Herpt is a beautiful village and the beautiful fortified town of Heusden is within walking distance. An environment that is quiet but where there is also something to do.

Nieuw gerenoveerd oud huisje, ruim genoeg met zijn tweeën, ook warm in de winter met warmtepomp en houtkachel. Staat wel wat dicht op ander huisje en woonhuis. Herpt is een mooi dorpje en de prachtige vestingstad Heusden ligt op wandelafstand. Een omgeving die rustig is maar waar ook iets te doen is.
