Nature house in Schoorl

We were disappointed with the house, especially considering the price. We’ve stayed in larger houses before for a similar price, and those were much more luxurious in terms of furnishings and finishes. The furnishings are pretty basic; it wasn’t very clean, the paint was peeling, there was no trash can in the bathroom, and the pots and cutlery were dirty. There’s a plastic roof in the living room (when it gets hot, it’s unbearable in there). There’s no fenced-in yard for the dog, though the owner did make an effort to create one using a pallet. The owners are very friendly and willing to help, and they provide freshly baked bread in the morning, along with games and brochures about the area. It’s a lovely and beautiful setting, and close to the beach. However, the value for money was disappointing; we’re used to better. We wouldn’t stay here again.

We vonden het huis tegenvallen, zeker gezien de prijs. We hebben vaker in grotere huizen gezeten voor een vergelijkbare prijs en dat was echt veel luxer qua meubilair en afwerking. Het is vrij basic qua meubilair, het was niet zo goed schoon, afbladderende verf, prullenbakje ontbrak in de badkamer en ook de pannen en bestek waren vies. Een plastic dak in de woonkamer (als het warm wordt, is het daar niet uit te houden). Geen afgesloten tuin voor de hond al deed de eigenaar met een pallet daar wel moeite voor. Wel hele vriendelijke eigenaren die bereid zijn om te helpen en vers gebakken brood in de ochtend, spelletjes en boekjes over de omgeving aanwezig. Het is een hele fijne en mooie omgeving en dichtbij het strand. Prijs/kwaliteit viel echter tegen, we zijn beter gewend. Zouden hier niet nog een keer verblijven.

Nice small vacation spot with several apartments. You are not bothered by each other, although it is not really quiet.

Mooi kleinschalig vakantieplekje met meerdere appartementen. Je hebt geen last van elkaar, hoewel het niet echt stil is.

It was lovely, although nature was a long way away. Several little apartments on a nice piece of land, well maintained. Clean, fully equipped. But not a "nature house," it's just too far away for that. Another name is better.

Het was heerlijk, hoewel de natuur wel een endje weg was. Verschillende appartementjes op een mooi stukje grond, goed onderhouden. Schoon, van alle gemakken voorzien. Maar geen 'natuurhuisje', daarvoor ligt het net te ver weg. Een andere naam is beter.

It should have been better described that a complete, separate apartment on the first floor belongs to the house.

Man hätte besser beschreiben sollen, dass sich noch ein vollständiges, separates Apartment im Erdgeschoss zum Haus gehört.

Quietly situated house in a side street in the beautiful Groet. Every morning you could get wonderful freshly baked bread.

Ruhig gelegenes Haus in einer Seitenstraße im herrlichen Groet. Jeden Morgen konnte man wunderbares frisch gebackenes Brot bekommen.
