After a complete renovation, the nature house was christened Wabi-Sabi: a Japanese philosophy of life. 'Wabi' refers to the desire for sobriety. The white walls, white beams on the ceiling and wooden floor contribute to the feeling of tranquility. Furthermore, the interior was designed as minimalist as possible so that there is room for your thoughts and your feelings. 'Sabi' represents the nostalgic realization that everything passes. The dark brown frames of the windows and doors frame the wooded view like living paintings on the wall. The view changes with the seasons and with time. On the ground floor there is an equipped kitchen, a dining area, a cozy living room with pellet stove (during winter the stove starts automatically in the morning so that it is always warm) , a writing corner and a bathroom with bathtub, walk-in shower, large sink and toilet. On the top floor there are two large bedrooms.
Nature and surroundings
Through an earth road on the border of Belgium, you enter a spacious wooded area of about 3000 square meters with a large natural pond in the center. This beautiful piece of paradise is kept as much as possible in its natural qualities without human interaction. In this way, everyone can enjoy the colors, smells and sounds that nature has to offer. Leave the hectic of life behind and find peace in the hammock outside and to the song of the birds. This cozy cottage is recommended at any time of the year. During the summer, nature provides an ideal coolness while during the winter, the fire of the stove warms you up inside. Wabi-sabi is a child-friendly nature house with a fence around the house along the side of the pond.
