This nature house is located in hamlet Schandelo and is equipped with everything needed in a nostalgic atmosphere. A special address where you - yes indeed - spend time in an old fruit barn. The nature house is completely detached. You spend the night in a cozy and charming environment, in the middle of nature, equipped with all comforts. And in a lovely green environment with plenty of privacy. Sitting down with a glass of wine under the pear tree, you will feel like a king. In the evening you will of course light a crackling wood fire. The nature house has its own kitchen, toilet and shower, an intimate sleeping loft or sleeping accommodation on the ground floor for the disabled. For the sleeping loft, you climb the original stairs of the old fruit barn to your sleeping quarters. We believe in animal welfare, in good and honest food. Hence, we work with organic or local products. Our breakfast is not included. We also welcome dogs and horses.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in a part of Schandelo (near Venlo) that was referred to on old maps as Aen Heck. Limburg culture ... Most typical, of course, is the southern hospitality. The Limburgers give you a warm welcome. Typical of Venlo is the "Venloose vastelaovend," the carnival. But there is more. Much more even. Every year Venlo hosts the Zomerparkfeesten and the Venloop, Arcen the atmosphere markets and what to think of the theater program in De Maaspoort and the exhibitions in the Limburgs Museum. Located between nature reserve Zwart Water and nature reserve Ravenvennen, the nature house is a nice base for nature-oriented activities. And what about the National Park the Maasduinen? Recently the two nature reserves around us have become part of it. But the National Park is characterized by its length. Well at least 40 km. From north and south you probably "just can't make it" in one day.
