Just across the border from Maastricht, in the Flemish municipality of Lanaken is a cozy cottage that takes you back to the simplicity and tranquility of the 1950s. The interior has the cheerful tones of that era. The light blue vintage kitchen, retro green refrigerator and soft yellow floor give the nature house an atmospheric look at any time of year. The beautiful gas fireplace with a view of the flames and the record player with LP collection complete the atmosphere. The kitchen is fully equipped. The small house has a separate shower and toilet. From the bed there is a view of trees with squirrels and all kinds of birds. The morning sun falls through the plaid window onto the dining table. The cottage stands on the edge of a small spacious vacation park and has its own entrance. From the garden you can walk straight into the forest.
Nature and surroundings
From the garden, with just a few steps you enter the Hoge Kempen National Park with its many cycling and hiking routes. With this forest and a city like Maastricht nearby, you also have plenty of outside options for a great time. There are also hiking and cycling maps available and wifi to help you explore the area.
