Nature house in Oude Willem

This nature house is a cozy detached cottage in the middle of the Drents-Friese Wold with a lovely woodland garden (1800 m2)! Downstairs you will find the living room with a fireplace and a well-equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed and the bathroom with toilet. Upstairs are two bedrooms, these have a sloping roof (at lowest point 1.80) and a curtain as a door. In the barn there are, among other things, four bicycles (2 ladies). The nature house is located on a quiet park without facilities, except for the small but well-stocked library. That means: peace, space and a lot of nature. Parking is available on site and the main but fairly quiet road to Diever is nearby. Barbecuing, relaxing, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, cooking, working, watching a movie or baking a cake, it's all possible. Looking for a place to recover, a place to write quietly or to undertake all kinds of outdoor activities? This nature house is the place to be!

The nature house is located in the middle of the Drents-Friese Wold and near a number of other beautiful nature parks with heath, forest and sand drift areas, such as the National Park Dwingelderveld, the Aekingerzand and Fochteloërveen. This makes it a fantastic base for hiking, cycling or bird watching. Nearby (4.5 km) is the picturesque village of Diever with everything you need: a bakery, supermarket, several restaurants and the best ice cream in the area (tip!). Also worth seeing is the "hiding place" in the woods near Diever. On the way to Diever you will pass the Shakespeare House and the Open Air Theater with its traditional summer performances. A must see! Other nice places nearby: Zorgvlied, Vledder, Frederiksoord and Wilhelminaoord. For children there is plenty to do in Appelscha, such as a day at Verkeerspark Duinen Zathe, the Bosberg Tower or the climbing forest. You can swim in the Canada Lake or the heated forest pool in Appelscha.
