In a beautiful spot right by the Salland Ridge lies just outside the village one of the oldest farms in the region. Founded in 1672, on a high spot called Duistermarsch. Meanwhile Ton and Ana have been living there for more than 10 years and a few years ago they decided to transform part of their outbuilding into a vacation apartment where guests can enjoy a carefree vacation in the green surroundings of Salland. The compact apartment (36m2) is fully equipped. The living/dining room has a fully equipped kitchen and sitting area with TV, wood stove and air conditioning. An indoor bedroom with comfortable box spring (160x200) with en-suite bathroom with double sink, toilet and shower. Possibly there is room for 2 children on the mezzanine or the sofa bed. Pets are welcome! The infinity pool provides wonderful cooling on hot summer days. Hot tub packages (weekend €85.50 midweek €114, week €199.50) available and cycling and hiking arena around the corner!
Nature and surroundings
Unlike in large parts of the Netherlands, with us the environment is mostly green. The flora and fauna are therefore important motives to enjoy being away in Salland. Our farm with the vacation apartment is located a stone's throw from National Park Sallandse Heuvelrug. Here you will find one of the largest contiguous dry heathlands in Europe. The lateral moraine looks almost un-Dutch because of its height differences. Enjoy walking or cycling in the woods and on the heath, the beautiful views and landscapes. Driving a few kilometers to the west you arrive in Deventer. Directly on the river IJssel with its views and floodplains it is also a great place to be.
