The nature house is unique and separate from the campsite at the back of our property! The cottage can only be reached via a hiking trail past the horses, for a truly Back-to-Basic experience! It is furnished with 2 beds and mattresses, solar lights, fire pit with grill grate, cast iron pans and kettle, percolator, cutlery and utensils, plates, cups, lighters and wood and dung briquettes(sustainable!). There is a propane gas stove for quick coffee or soup warming. Next to the cottage is a (dry) toilet and there is a zinc bathtub under which a fire can be stoked! It is also possible to shower under the outside shower (with hot water). Laze in the hammock and listen to the birds, or unwind in the plaggenhut! With us it's all about being outside, it's all part of it. Animals, mud, fresh air and a fire are part of the experience. Not glamping but an outdoor experience!
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is very rural next to the woods of the Oostermaet estate with many hiking, cycling and horseback riding routes. From the campsite you can walk, cycle or drive straight into the woods. Nearby is Deventer Koekstad (located on the river IJssel) with its historic city center, rich in beautiful historic buildings that you can also admire via a city walk. National Park the Sallandse Heuvelrug is 6.5 km away where you can enjoy the beautiful landscape. In the midst of this landscape are several restaurants. A visit to a nature museum or the Canadian cemetery is also possible. Okkenbroek is a nice central point if you want to walk the Marskramerpad or the pieter path. With us everything is about being outside. Bad weather does not exist, only bad preparation. Therefore we ask you to take this into account. Enjoy your stay and make it a nice adventure!
