This studio apartment (15 m²) is located on an estate in the heart of the lake district between Utrecht and Amsterdam. It features a 160-cm-wide double bed, which can also be converted into two single beds if desired. The room has a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. There is a kitchenette with a mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, electric kettle, dishes, and basic cooking facilities. We provide clean bedding; please bring your own towels. For a fee, you can use the canoes and paddleboards available on-site. You can also purchase firewood. The estate features many edible herbs and shrubs that you are welcome to forage for your own use.

The estate consists of 5 hectares of protected nature reserve featuring (quaking) peat bogs, swamp forest, moersas, and sod. The sleep studio is located directly on the water, which opens onto the Kortenhoefse Ples on one side and the Hilversum Canal on the other. Wander through the estate’s natural surroundings and encounter our herd of Soay sheep or wild roe deer. Enjoy the many birds, such as buzzards, swallows, herons, storks, reed warblers, and—if you’re lucky—even a kingfisher. Grab a canoe and explore the Kortenhoefse Plassen, which are also great for swimming. Take a walk along the Oppad to the estates of ‘s Gravenland, or visit the many cozy restaurants and cafes in the area.

Lovely quiet studio, small but nice. Saw a lot of birds passing by and cozy by the water. Good bathroom and the kitchen was fine.
Heerlijk rustige studio, klein maar fijn. Heel wat vogeltjes langs zien komen en gezellig bij het water. Goede badkamer en de keuken was prima.
