This nature house is a restored 1816 windmill. The decor is sober and quiet, but with all modern amenities and a well-equipped kitchen. It is known for its panoramic views, vast meadows, a number of wind and water mills, as well as for Geuzenhoek (Korsele) with its Protestant community and old cemetery. The protected weeping beech of 150 years old with a circumference of 5 m and a memorial stone of William I are definitely worth a walk. In Oudenaarde, you can go to the town hall, protected by Unesco, or the MOU. The mill has a garden of 1300 m², completely shielded by a hedge. There is parking and bicycles can be stored safely. There is a terrace with a barbecue where you can end the day well with a glass.Most Flemish cities are at maximum 1 hour drive from Horebeke.
Nature and surroundings
Located in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes with Brakelbos, Muziekbos, Burreken. In the immediate neighborhood March also Picaric Wallonia and Pays des Collinnes are nearby. An ideal region for hiking. Cycling enthusiasts will know the region from The Tour of Flanders. The Giant is near the Haaghoek, Berendries, Wolvenberg...Bicycles can be arranged. In the area there are countless restaurants with a good price/quality ratio. This can be a star restaurant but there are also good friteries or taverns.
