Nature house in Middenmeer

You have your own entrance and a parking space in front of your door. Through the living room you come outside to a nice private garden. This looked good but due to the bad weather we could not use it. Unfortunately, nowadays you can not escape it but I find it a pity that the view is disturbed by a number of windmills. Despite that, we would so go back.

Je hebt een eigen opgang en een parkeerplek voor je deur.
Via de woonkamer kom je buiten bij een gezellig privé stukje tuin. Dit zag er goed uit maar door het mindere weer hier geen gebruik van kunnen maken.
Helaas ontkom je er tegenwoordig niet aan maar ik vindt het jammer dat het uitzicht wordt verstoord door een aantal windmolens.
Ondanks dat, zouden we zo weer terug gaan.

A friendly and warm welcome. In a cozy, beautiful living space and a kitchen that works well. There is upstairs (fide) a fine made bed. This is accessed via a fixed, slightly steep staircase. Especially from top to bottom was quite difficult for us (somewhat older people). What we did find very pleasant was the lights that turn on when you enter the stairs at night. Bathroom, shower are nice and functioned well. Lovely soft bath towels. We were missing a small towel. Solved this by using a kitchen towel. We liked the use of wood and modern, very much. Therefore, we quickly felt at home.

Een vriendelijk en warm ontvangst. In een sfeervolle, mooie woonruimte en een keuken die goed functioneerd.
Er is boven (fide) een prima opgemaakt bed. Deze is te bereiken via een vaste, beetje steile trap. Vooral van boven naar beneden was dat voor ons (wat oudere mensen) best lastig. Je moest namelijk bukken, om de trapleuning vast te kunen pakken.
Wat wij wel heel prettig hebben gevonden, was de verlichting die aanspringt als je 'snachts de trap betreed.
Badkamer, douche zijn mooi en functioneerde goed. Heerlijke zachte badhandoeken. We miste een kleine handdoek. Dit opgelost door een keukenhanddoek te gebruiken.
Ons sprak het gebruik van hout en modern, erg aan. We voelde ons daarom al snel thuis.

Despite appallingly bad weather, we had a wonderful week. The cottage contributed prominently to our positive feeling. Monique and Ruud are also excellent hosts. Are there for you when needed without being intrusive.

Ondanks erbarmelijk slecht weer hebben wij een prachtige week gehad. Het huisje heeft een prominente bijdrage geleverd aan ons positieve gevoel. Monique en Ruud zijn ook voortreffelijke gastvrouw/ gastheer. Staan voor je klaar als het nodig is zonder opdringerig te zijn.

A shot in the arm. In a fantastic location for us exactly what we were looking for. It looks grandiose, super clean and tastefully decorated!

Een schot in de roos. Op een voor ons fantastische locatie precies wat wij zochten. Het ziet er grandioos uit, super schoon en smaakvol ingericht!

Nice rustic decor. Standard necessities are present, including coffee, coffee creamer, pepper/salt/Italian herbs. Bottle of wine on the table and beer in the fridge, nice reception. In the vicinity you can not really walk, you must first go somewhere by car, the same goes for cycling. It is a bit noisy, everything is made of wood and creaks. If you are sensitive to this and have to go to the toilet at night, earplugs are a must. Pillows were a bit thin for our taste, but that's personal. Bed was fine, we think it is worth repeating!

Standaard benodigdheden zijn aanwezig, o.a. koffie, koffiemelk, peper/zout/Italiaanse kruiden.
Fles wijn op tafel en biertje in de koelkast, fijne ontvangst.

In de nabije omgeving kan je niet echt lekker wandelen, daarvoor moet je eerst met de auto ergens naartoe. Datzelfde geldt voor fietsen.

Het is wel wat gehorig, alles is van hout en kraakt. Als je daar gevoelig voor bent en je moet ‘‘s nachts naar de WC, zijn oordoppen een must.

Hoofdkussens waren wat dun naar onze smaak, maar dat is persoonlijk. Bed was prima.

Wij vinden het voor herhaling vatbaar!

It was generally quiet, though some agricultural traffic and the occasional plane in the evening. The cottage is behind the owners' own house and is separated from their garden by a high fence. Plenty of privacy and a lovely sitting area out of the wind and in the sun.

Het was over het algemeen rustig, wel wat landbouwverkeer en af en toe een vliegtuig in de avonduren.
Het huisje staat achter het eigen huis van de eigenaren en is afgescheiden van hun tuin d.m.v. een hoge schutting. Genoeg privacy.
Heerlijk zitje uit de wind en in de zon.
