Nature and surroundings
This nature house is located near the cozy villages of Oude Willem, Diever, Vledder, Dwingeloo, Havelte, Appelscha, Aekingerzand and Frederiksoord. It is located in the middle of the national park the Drents Friese Wold. Drenthe at its most beautiful. A unique place for horseback riding, mountain bikers, cyclists, hikers and lovers of nature and animals (suitable for bird watching or photography). National parks Fochteloërveen, Dwingelderveld and Weerribben are nearby. Plankenpad Dwingelderveld and other routes are a stone's throw away (Hiking Route Drents-Friese Wold, Foresters path Beek and Bos, walking along the Dwingelderveld, Wet noses route, the fourth stage of the Pieterpad, Foresters path Oudemolense Diep, Westerbork - Zwiggelte route and Shakespeare Route). There are also beautiful bike paths, wildlife trails and horse trails. You can swim and enjoy the culture (for example, the Drents Museum, Museum de Proefkolonie, False Art Museum and the Shell Museum
