Nature house in Fochteloo

This exceptionally beautiful nature house is in the middle of nature and is located in the back of the large garden of the owners' farmhouse; privacy is therefore guaranteed. Located directly on the Fochteloërveen and occasionally you will come face to face with a deer, fox or hare and you will be winged by a crane. The nature house is spacious, comfortable, cozy and fully equipped. Spacious living room with open and complete kitchen (including dishwasher). Two bedrooms with box spring beds 2 X (90 X 200 cm) and 2 X (90 X 210 cm). Modern sanitary facilities (separate toilet, bathroom with walk-in rain shower). Excellent Wifi / Internet / TV including chromecast available, as well as cycling/walking maps and board games. You have access to several terraces and garden / lawn with garden furniture and the generous size there is always a shade or sun spot to find. There is also an outdoor sauna with outdoor shower. Use of the sauna, washing machine and / or dryer can be booked on site.

The detached nature house is situated on a dead-end semi-paved path in the middle of nature on the edge of the Fochteloërveen (Nature Preserve 2500 ha), a stone's throw from the Drents-Friese Wold (National Park 6000 ha) both designated as Natura 2000 area and near UNESCO World Heritage Colonies of Weldadigheid. Peace, space and nature; you can really relax here while there are plenty of opportunities directly from the Veenparel many beautiful hiking and / or (MTB) cycling. A unique and truly surprising area which belongs to the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands. Forest, heathland, shifting sands, stream valleys, peat moors, (swimming) lakes it is all present in this scenic landscape. Appelscha , Norg and Diever (all within cycling distance) have nice terraces / restaurants. Veenhuizen (10 minutes), Assen (20 minutes by car), Groningen, Oranjewoud/Heerenveen and Leeuwarden (40 minutes by car) have beautiful museums. Also worth a visit are Orvelte and remembrance camp Westerbork (20 minutes).
