Come & listen to the Sound of Silence! A mysterious forest road leads to this remote farmstead amidst the woods and fields. The former horse stables were transformed into a cozy cottage, completely secluded from the farmhouse itself. From the sitting area with large gabled window you have a fantastic view of the Valley of the Black Brook. There is a fully equipped open kitchen with fridge, microwave, counter with 6 bar stools; sitting area with 3 sofa beds; a pellet stove (incl.pellets), bedroom with double bed, spacious bathroom and dressing room. This cottage has a private garden, terrace and fire pit. There is enclosed grass parking and covered bicycle storage and smoking room. All beds are made on arrival and all bath, bed and kitchen linen is provided. Per booking, we donate our guests a quiver of marshmallows for use on the open fire outside.
Nature and surroundings
The farm is located on Venusberg and offers a fantastic view of the Valley of the Zwarte Beek, which stretches from Paal (Beringen) to beyond Meldert (Lummen) all the way to picturesque Diest. In the accompanying forest you can spot birds and wildlife. The available hiking and cycling route maps lead you to the most beautiful hidden places in this region. But golf, windsurfing, sailing and swimming are also possible at the Paalse Plas. For cultural and culinary trips you can visit Bokrijk, Diest, Beringen (B-Mine), Koersel Kapelleke....
