Completely renovated front house, equipped with all modern conveniences. A nature house nestled in the beautiful polder landscape, with a drainage canal and windmills just a stone’s throw away. Spacious rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and upstairs, a large bathroom with a rain shower and a second toilet. A 5-minute walk away is the village square, which features a large supermarket, a bakery, a butcher shop, and a drugstore. This front section is part of a large farmhouse and has its own northwestern-facing front terrace. The layout begins at the private front door, leading to an entryway with a coat closet, a toilet with a sink, a spacious living room with a TV, a step leading to the dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with a double sink, toilet, and rain shower with a built-in seat. On the second floor is an open study with a double sleeper sofa featuring a loft area and a view of one of the bedrooms. You can park your car in the parking lot right outside the door, on the property. Wi-Fi, linens, soap, coffee, and tea are included as standard. Enjoy a carefree stay.

Nature and surroundings

A nature house located near the drainage canal and windmills. There are many beautiful cycling routes—toward Kinderdijk, Gouda, Utrecht, and Gorinchem. Explore the charming center of Schoonhoven, the “silver town,” or the fortified town of Nieuwpoort. You can also rent a boat, of course; the Ammers flood control basin stretches far and offers a completely different perspective on the surroundings. There are also many restaurants in the area that are definitely worth visiting.

    Nature, peace & environment: 5 /5

It felt like a truly warm welcome home. No cottage has ever been as well-equipped and well-maintained as this one. Thank you for everything, Bram! We had a wonderful time. It was spotless when we arrived. And we spent a week enjoying luxury and peace and quiet. We’re grateful and satisfied. This cottage and its owners will always have a special place in our hearts.
