The Birdhouse is a cozy wooden chalet in the yard of Farm Watervliet. From the living room there is a beautiful unobstructed view of the meadows, where many protected birds nest. The remote farm is an organic family business, in addition to suckler cows, sheep, small livestock and a vegetable garden, the company is active in nature management, organic meat sales and houses a care farm during the week. From 2 days we offer this wonderful place to unwind, go into nature or discover the Zaan culture. The cottage is suitable for max 4 persons, is fully equipped, with kitchen, dishwasher, private garden and bath!

Farm Watervliet is located in the middle of the Wormer and Jisperveld. This wetland field, a peat meadow area, is an important meadow bird area in North Holland, only 20km away from Amsterdam. The nature house has a direct view of the meadows, which are a breeding ground for numerous meadow birds, such as the lapwing the black-tailed godwit and the redshank. The area is especially popular with hikers, canoeists, fishermen and cyclists. The farm is located directly on the NS-trekking bird path towards Neck. Culture lovers can enjoy the Zaanse Schans (5km), the windmills and several small Zaanse museums.
