In the Twente countryside between forest and creek, is our nature house. A 2-person nature house in the green with a sea of space. The nature house is fully electric and has electric floor heating. We generate our own electricity. In addition to a spacious living room, our cottage has a comfortable kitchen with induction hob, refrigerator and coffee machine, including coffee. The nature house has a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet and a bedroom with a double bed. In the living room there is another luxurious 2-person sofa bed with a comfortable mattress. The cottage is very suitable for a longer stay. In addition to the nature house, on the yard there is also an authentic Salonwagen (mobile home), also for rent. The cottages are well away from each other and the family's farmhouse.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in the middle of the Twente coulisse landscape. A semi-open landscape with vegetation consisting mainly of wooded banks, hedges, rolling ash trees and the five hills. Nature reserve the Salland Ridge is nearby (ten kilometers) and nature reserve the Borkeld (five kilometers) is around the corner. Scenically, Markelo (part of Hof van Twente) is one of the best preserved cultural-historical areas of the Netherlands. With a little luck you will see a roe deer passing by from the cottage. The little owl makes annual use of the nest box, great to see!
