In the head of Drenthe, in the middle of the woods of Zuidlaren, on a small and quiet campsite, is my charming chalet for rent. The nature house has been completely refurbished and decorated with a nod to the 60s. And with a veranda of 10 meters, of which 3 meters are covered, you can sit outside at all times and enjoy the nature around you.In the morning the birds do their best to sing you awake....... Zuidlaren has much to offer for a relaxing vacation, midweek or weekend. Think of the Zuidlaardermeer, (water sports) lots of cycling and walking routes, subtropical swimming pool, canoeing on the Drentse Aa, megalithic tombs, nice restaurants, thrift stores, flea markets (only in the summer), fairy... and much more. If you are looking for a bit more hustle and bustle, you can be in the city of Groningen in no time, where you will find plenty of culture. To think in Groningen: the Groninger Museum, the beautiful Main Station, the Folkingestraat (2nd prize 2020 of most beautiful street in the Netherlands), the Forum with its view over the entire city, the Prinsentuin with its magnificent roses and the lively city center with its many terraces .... Assen also has a beautiful museum and is also well worth spending a day in.
