This newly renovated houseboat is located in Kalenberg on the Kalenbergergracht and offers a beautiful view of the Weerribben-Wieden National Park. There are 3 canoes available near the boats, which you share with the tenants of the second houseboat on the property; in consultation with the owner, it’s also possible to rent a rowboat.Both boats come with their own lockable storage shed where you can store your bicycles (with a power outlet for chargers), a parking space, and a key box for contactless check-in. This air-conditioned houseboat accommodates up to 5 people and has 2 bedrooms. One bedroom features a double box-spring bed with a comforter, and the second bedroom has a bunk bed and a pull-out bed. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, a Senseo coffee maker and a filter coffee maker, a refrigerator, and a combination microwave. TV and high-speed internet are now available. You’ll need to bring your own bed linens, towels, and kitchen linens.

The boats are moored on a dead-end road, so you’ll only encounter local traffic. Peace and quiet, in other words! The Weerribben-Wieden National Park is a green maze where you can walk, bike, and boat to your heart’s content. From several bird-watching huts, you can spot the beautiful (water) birds up close. The Dutch Forestry Commission offers various activities for all ages, and a visit to the three visitor centers is highly recommended. You can do your grocery shopping in the nearby quaint village of Oldemarkt, Ossenzijl, or the town of Steenwijk, where you’ll also find plenty of shopping options.
