Small house with a large garden 5 km from the center of Ghent, beautifully situated on an island surrounded by the Lys. The house has a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Cooking utensils and basic necessities such as soap, oil and spices are provided. Sheets and towels are also provided. There is ample parking on the plot. There is the possibility of renting bikes, don't forget to click on this when booking!
Nature and surroundings
The green surroundings and cozy cottage offer the perfect escape from the city, while Ghent is nearby. The cottage is located on the island of the Assels, between the beautiful villages of Afsnee and Drongen. Much of the island is nature reserve, characterized by meadows and rows of trees, The cottage is on the GR 128 and offers numerous options for hiking, biking or kayaking. The garden itself is surrounded by a mixed hedge, is managed naturally and has a number of fruit trees,

Door de omvang (Tiny House) voel je je meer met de omgeving betrokken. En tegelijkertijd voelde het nooit (te) Tiny: heel slim en thuisvoelend vorngegeven
Heerlijk buiten en toch zo dichtbij Gent, vooral super wandelen langs de Leie

Klein, maar compleet. Er fijn om er te zijn. De houtkachel is prettig, het bed slaapt heerlijk, in de keuken moet je wat improviseren maar lukt een maaltijd bereiden prima en de badkamer is ruimer dan verwacht. Ook online vergaderen ging prima, dankzij de wifi die het meestal goed doet (op een enkele hapering na, die snel voorbij is). We komen er graag nog eens terug. Eén tip: maak haakjes om de jassen aan op te hangen.
We keken uit op een prachtige tuin en boom. Vanwege de kou en de mist hebben we er vanuit de warmte van het huisje van kunnen genieten. Er zijn mooie wandelroutes in de nabije omgeving.

Een vriendelijk ontvangst. Alles was er wat een mens nodig heeft om een rustige vakantie te hebben.
