The stately house was built in the 19th century by the noble family in the same period when the canal was dug. For a long time, a customs post for passing ships was also located here. The house was beautiful, comfortable and incredibly well-appointed. It had every appliance imaginable, and Lucienne and Jean made us feel very welcome with a bottle of wine and a Limburg flan. They were kind and friendly hosts, very flexible and helpful. My family and I had a wonderful stay!
