Since 4 years I have been living my dream, my own B&B and studio where I teach Chineng Qigong classes, massages , breathing sessions & retreats. HUIZE LEEGHWATER is located in the middle of the Beemster on the Noord-Hollands Kanaal on our own grounds of 3.5 hectares. I am a Beekeeper and work passionately in the vegetable garden. I have a wonderful husband and 2 sons, a dog Blanca and 2 cats Torro and Sjorsje, sheep and chickens. I would love to welcome you to this beautiful & peaceful place in the middle of nature. We have four luxurious B&B's situated in a former dairy barn. All four B&B's have their own bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and a kitchenette. The materials and furnishings are durable and of high quality. From the B&B you look across the countryside to one of the forts of the Defense Line of Amsterdam. You can book the (private) sauna in the garden house. Free bicycles are available. If desired, I can make breakfast, lunch or dinner for you from organic products.
Nature and surroundings
The B&B is located on the North Holland Canal in the Beemster (Unesco world heritage) and from here you can enjoy cycling, walking and swimming in the canal. Or even take a sailing trip with a whisper boat in the neighboring town of de Rijp. The cozy and historic town of Purmerend is 2 km away. At about 15 minutes by car you can visit the towns of Marken, Volendam, Monnickendam and Alkmaar. Amsterdam can be reached in 20 car minutes or by public transport from Purmerend. The beach is 30 car minutes away. It is also possible to visit the B&B by boat, it can be moored 50 meters away.

Alycia October 25, 2025 General rating:Nathalie and Gert-Jan take care of their Huize Leeghwater and their guests with a lot of love, you can tell that from everything! Communication before staying was quick and clear, and once we arrived we did not have to worry about anything (not even the rain when we were immediately offered to pick us up at the bus stop) and everything was arranged for us. A nice massage, several rounds in the sauna, a delicious dinner and finally a fantastic start of the next day with breakfast. We came home like other people, and will surely come back again!
Nathalie en Gert-Jan zorgen met heel veel liefde voor hun Huize Leeghwater en voor hun gasten, dat merk je aan alles! Communicatie was voor verblijf snel en helder, en eenmaal aangekomen hebben wij ons nergens druk over hoeven maken (zelfs niet over de regen toen ons direct werd aangeboden om ons bij de bushalte op te halen) en was alles voor ons geregeld.
