In the beautiful Vecht valley overlooking a vast garden and meadows lies this thatched cottage. The tranquility is unparalleled. Here you experience a feeling of paradise and you are really away from the busy world. The cottage is often visited by writers, nature lovers and peace seekers. From the windows of the house you can look outside. In the spacious private garden (+/- 2000 m2) there are always sunny and shady spots to be found on sunny days. The still new cottage (built in 2021) is comfortable. The decor is quiet and warm. There is a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom is spacious and there is a washing machine. In addition to the spacious private garden with several seating areas, you will enjoy a rich pond and flower garden (over 3000m2). Here too there are all kinds of seating areas. Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located at the back of a natural yard. We, Floris and Foekje came to live here in 2020 for the peace and to fulfill a dream. To show people how beautiful nature is, that nature 'heals' and brings you closer to your 'own nature'. Our yard borders forest. Hiking and cycling nodes are nearby. We work together with Estate Den Woesten Heide, which also borders the yard. This beautiful estate has a great diversity of landscapes, including many acres of forest, heathland and the nature reserve Varsenerveld. We will be happy to show you around here. For an errand or more entertainment, about 5 kilometers away you will find one of the oldest Hanseatic towns in Overijssel: the town of Ommen. Here you can enjoy the beautiful banks of the river Vecht. Our guests also like to visit the beautiful Hanseatic city of Zwolle. You can get here by car in about 20 minutes. Don't be surprised, however, if after your stay it turns out that you hardly ever left the yard.

The cottage is complete, comfortable and very nicely furnished. It has a cozy atmosphere with light colors and there were beautiful fresh flowers from the garden on the table! The bed slept wonderfully, my mother of 77 did not have a sore back after sleeping and she actually always does (even at home), so she was very pleasantly surprised. The kitchen is very nice, we made all kinds of goodies for breakfast and lunch and dinner and there was everything for this. There are several seating areas so you can always sit outside in the sun or shade.

Het bed sliep heerlijk, mijn moeder van 77 had geen last van haar rug na het slapen en dat heeft ze eigenlijk altijd wel (ook thuis), dus zij was heel blij verrast. De keuken is heel fijn, wij hebben allerlei lekkers gemaakt voor het ontbijt en de lunch en het avondeten en hier was alles voor aanwezig. Er zijn meerdere zitjes zodat je altijd in de zon of schaduw kan zitten buiten.

Verder loop je vanaf het huisje langs een stukje weg zo het bos/landgoed in. De omgeving is enorm rustig en bij het huisje is heel veel privacy. Het voelt er heel vredig. Echt even weg van de bewoonde wereld. Wij waren er met zonnig weer en hadden meteen een vakantiegevoel. We hebben de auto lekker laten staan op de parkeerplaats en de hele dag genoten van de tuin en de directe omgeving op loopafstand, heerlijk!
