This Nature House by Lake Agen (Värmland, Sweden) is a cozy, comfortable vacation home for 4 people. The house is located a bit off the main road, on a so-called 'stugområde'. Here are 15 original Swedish stugas, privately owned vacation homes. Enjoy your own cottage with all the trimmings, on 1200 m2 of private land. In fact, they are two houses connected by a large veranda: The original stuga with kitchen, dining and living room is completely renovated and in the new cottage you will find the two bedrooms, bathroom and a loft. This is suitable for children, to chill or sleep. Fancy swimming, paddling, boating or fishing? Just walk 200 meters and at the shared beach with slide you dive into the lake. Or you can take the canoe for a lovely trip on the water or fishing. In short, the perfect place to experience Swedish stuga life!
Nature and surroundings
Of course, what makes the house special is its location near the lovely Lake Agen. With free use of a Canadian canoe (life jackets provided). But the house is also sunny and sheltered at the edge of the forest with deer, foxes and moose as neighbors. In the middle of a wooded area with many lakes and rivers, beautiful fishing water and beautiful natural areas with hiking trails. Filipstad with stores, amenities and sandy beach is 7 km away. Furthermore, the area is very rich in minerals and has a long interesting mining history (iron ore, silver). Many remnants of this can still be found. For example, Bryggan is located directly on the old railroad over which iron ore used to be transported to the smelting plants. Nowadays it is a kilometers long (unpaved) walking / bike path which runs from Filipstad to Hagfors. The beautifully restored mining village of Nordmark is just around the corner.
