Close to the city of Leiden is our 17th-century farmhouse. Enjoy the quirky little apartment in the former living, bathing and sleeping quarters of farmer Toon and his wife Toos who lived and worked here for 50 years until 2015. You have your own bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and hallway, overlooking the courtyard garden. The ceiling shows 17th-century children's bints. The bedsteads are out but a small trace of them remains. You overlook the old (1970s) pigsty with sedum roof. The first two mornings we serve breakfasts, which is included in the price. After that we also deliver it at €10 per breakfast p.p. Welcome to our nature house.
Nature and surroundings
Our farm is a national monument on the Vliet. Chickens scratch around the yard, in the back by the orchard you will find our pigs Peer & Joost. You are surrounded by greenery and yet only ten minutes by bike from the center of Leiden. The farm gets its electricity from the roof of the old pigsty and is heated ecologically with a heat pump and pellet boiler (wood). Facades, roofs and floors are heavily insulated so little heat is lost and the central heating runs at low temperature. We are near Zoeterwoude where there are many cheese farms and make our own yogurt from milk from one of them. By the way, the Green Heart starts at our back, on the other side of the A4 in Zoeterwoude. Beautiful for cycling, walking and birding in the Wilck (at 7.5 km)

An attractive nature house in an old farmhouse. The chicken walks around with her chicks. A food forest in formation. Two nice pigs and lots of greenery.Breakfast is delicious. Homemade yogurt, delicious vegetarian dishes. You are so in the center of Leiden
