Nature house in Olst

We are Martin and Wemmie, the proud owners of De Droste. Our nature house is located in the front section of a traditional Salland cross-wing farmhouse dating from 1911. The house has its own entrance. It features a large, 400 m² private garden with two patios. On the ground floor is the living room with a smart TV. There is also a 25-square-meter bedroom with a double box-spring bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a 4-burner gas stove with oven, a large fridge-freezer, a microwave, and a washer and dishwasher. The bathroom has a shower, bathtub, and a separate toilet. On the first floor, there is another spacious bedroom (25 m²) with two single box-spring beds and a smaller reading room. The beds are made upon arrival. Towels, bathrobes, and kitchen linens are included. You can use the Wi-Fi network free of charge. Smoking is not permitted inside the house or on the property. It’s a wonderful place to unwind; the house is fully equipped and offers every convenience. We look forward to seeing you soon

You’ll be staying in the countryside along the IJssel River, close to the forest, and 2 km from Olst and the train station. The Hanseatic cities of Zutphen and Zwolle, among others, are within biking distance. And with your hiking boots on, you can walk 11 km to the Brink in Deventer, with its historic center and medieval Bergkwartier. That’s where the annual Dickens Festival, the book market, and “Deventer on Stilts” take place. In the village of Olst itself, you’ll find all the basic amenities. Also worth visiting are the various museums in the area: the Nijenhuis, Museum More, and De Fundatie. Klooster Sion, with its beautiful garden, is also well worth a visit. An evening stroll along the IJssel River will leave you in awe of the beautiful scenery. There you’ll also find the Duursche Waarden nature reserve, where you can stop for coffee or lunch. For those who enjoy it, you can even take a dip in the cold water. Other beautiful nature reserves in the area include the Sallandse Heuvelrug and Veluwe National Park. And then there are the many country estates. In short....
