Nature house in Olst

Our nature house is located in the front section of a traditional Salland cross-wing farmhouse dating from 1911. The house has its own entrance. It features a large, 400m2 private garden with two terraces. The living room, equipped with a smart TV, is located on the ground floor. There is also a 25-square-meter bedroom with a double box-spring bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a 4-burner gas stove with oven, a large fridge-freezer, a microwave, and a washer and dishwasher. The bathroom has a shower, bathtub, and a separate toilet. On the first floor, there is another spacious bedroom (25 m²) with two single box-spring beds and a smaller reading room. The beds are made upon arrival. Towels, bathrobes, and kitchen linens are included. You can use the Wi-Fi network free of charge. Smoking is not permitted inside the house or on the property. We keep chickens, sheep, and lambs on part of our 8,000 m² property; for this reason, pets are not allowed.

You’ll be staying on the outskirts of the beautiful IJssel village of Olst. Many hiking and biking trails start right from the property, taking you through the beautiful Salland region and along the IJssel River (including the Duurse Waarden Nature Reserve). The forests, numerous country estates, and castles (such as De Haere) are also located in the immediate vicinity. By train, you can reach the centers of the Hanseatic cities of Deventer and Zwolle within 15 minutes. In the village of Olst itself, you’ll find all the basic amenities. In the large private garden, you can relax and enjoy each other’s company on one of the sunny or shaded terraces. Enjoy the peaceful life, the sheep, and the red-and-white cattle in the adjacent pastures. You’ll have beautiful views from every angle. All the amenities provided—including garden chairs and sun loungers—allow you to fully enjoy this rural garden. You can store any bicycles you bring with you in your own shed.
